Wowing a tech-savvy crowd at the largest tech show in the U.S. isn’t easy. Yet that’s exactly what global tech powerhouse NVIDIA asked us to do for its CES 2017 keynote presentation.
Imagine an enormous VR experience with images flickering across a moving, neon-green-on-black landscape 300 feet across.
To achieve this, we took our CANVAS image processing software and paired it with Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4 game engine to create a stadium-defying VR experience for a crowd of 3,000 – displayed on a massive 28,800 pixel x 1,080 pixel screen and powered by a bank of 10 NVIDIA Quadro GPUs. With a refresh rate of 60 frames a second, that’s nearly two billion pixels.
